Obviously I should know both VB & VC++, but which is more in demand in the job market today? Any ideas would be helpful as I am studying CS and would like to specialize in one of the above. Thank you, Marc

My idea is that during your studies, you should not be interested in one particular language. What you have to learn as a student is the general principles of programming: algorithms, data structures, the concepts of operating systems, compiler and database systems, object oriented design and design patterns and things like that. However you should also practise some real programming. The language you use is not really important, but i would suggest C++ or pascal. Please don't dig too deep into some very specific systems like Windows now. You will learn language syntax, operating specific things and all that once you really use it. ================== The original message was: Obviously I should know both VB & VC++, but which is more in demand in the job market today? Thank you,
