Funiest thing was, every time I put in in her arse she called me Mohamid I have taken a vow of poverty. If you want to really piss me off, send me money.

I have never been beaten if thats what you mean. I have only ever punched one guy in my life. He was drunk and touching my girl friend. Its not something I am proud of. He bled a lot.

Good for you. You probably grew up in an are where you didn't confront any street violence. But, when it came down to it, you did what you had to do. I'm sure that drunk guy you not respond to any amount of reason you may have tried to throw at him.

Well, I guess the civility has gone south in this conversation. My father didnt drink and my grandfather was a quite, peaceful, and caring man. But I guess you try to insult people you do not understand, or who are not like yourself. So much for that caring diversity loving trait that hippies are known for. *shrug* I'd have voted for him in the last election. So of course, there's no chance that he'll ever end up on the ballot. The real question for 2008 is, will the Democrats step up to the plate and find an even worse candidate than Kerry, or are they gonna have to rely on a popular 3rd-party to step in and help them lose?

I was pointing out that you usually start an argument by throwing a personal attack. Not to say that what kgaddy said was right, but if i remeber correctly, you started the argument by running down kgaddy's mom. And, what Stan Shannon done to personally attack you, when you called him a lunatic Here[^] ? "When only the police have guns, it's called a Police State."

You are just a product of your up bringing. No offence but at 15 you still have a lof of growing up to do (so do I at almost twice your age) and over time you opinions will probably mature and change as you have different experiances in life and come accros people with different back grounds. As has already been opined, McCain would not / will not make it through the primary process. He may have been a decent president had he beaten GWB the first time but he is absolutely not thye man for today: The circumstances that make him a hero (POW) make him weaker than he needs to be in today's world climate. He (my opinion) has delusions of granduer believeing that being a war time pilot and POW somehow gives him military insight greater than that of the generals who actually run the military - the equivalent of an elevator operator believing he can run the Otis Elevator Company. Here parties generally choose the one who has the biggest chances to be elected. So even if he becomes more popular in the global electorate than any other member of his party, he won't succeed to win the primary process? What are the common rules to be chosen during the primaries?

This is so wrong. Bush was never AWOL. When he asked to go to Alabama and help with Campaigning, the Air Guard was trying to get rid of it's overflow of pilots. Vietnam was winding down and going to Alabama was doing the TANG a favor. It worked out for both parties. This story has been beat to death. Ask Dan Rather about it. It is so strange that at a time where people were drafted to go to war, someone who enlisted in the Army in 1968, 5 years before the end of the war, but never saw the front line.

                                      Wasn't Bush a certified Pilot since 1970?

Here parties generally choose the one who has the biggest chances to be elected. So even if he becomes more popular in the global electorate than any other member of his party, he won't succeed to win the primary process? What are the common rules to be chosen during the primaries?

Sorry for causing the idiocy on the "No" portion of this thread. No, he wouldn't at least not in the current polarized environment. The reason is that the primary process is to select the candidate who will run for election under the banner of a particular party. The way the 2 parties are currently configured, Republicans with a solid conservative core and Democrats with a solid liberal core, the activists of each party represent those cores (or extremes if your real position is that of a moderate). T The primary process draws out the core constituiency, the commited believers, and that eliminates McCain as a viable GOP candidate this time just as it eliminated Leiberman (a conservative Democrat in the mold of John F. Kennedy) in the last election primary cycle for the Democrats. fyi - just as many Democrats would vote for McCain (depending on who the Democrat candidate was) I would have seriously considered voting for Leiberman (depending on who the Republican candidate was). So the process cuts both ways and pretty well assures that each party candidate will represent an initially extreme choice. However to win the election the candidate must appeal to the middle so they always moderate their stance during the real election cycle (following the primaries).
