Do you mean the windows Administrator account password?

I'm guessing maybe not, but the password to some kind of netnanny sort of software? Is that right? If it is the Windows Administrator password then its fairly well locked down (for obvious reasons). If it just to some sort of surfing control software then it may be possible to retrieve it, or reset it (probably the latter). However, in order to help we need to know exactly what software the password is for. What security systems have you installed? Also, please be aware that this site is primarily for software developers so if the information that comes back isn't understandable don't be put off asking more questions. (I hope that last bit didn't sound patronising - I find it difficult to pitch information at the right level because I don't want to patronise people and conversly some people don't want to sound stupid by asking "dumb questions") Finally, I can't guarantee to be of any help at all because I don't have any kids so I haven't installed content protection software. However, other people here do have kids and safe surfing kind of software to protect their kids and I hope that by getting more information about your problem that will get a useful reply for you. Thanks for the reply...in response, I am running Windows XPHome and the sequence would be My Computer to Control Panel to Network and Internet Connections to Internet Options to Internet Properties to Content which then reveals the Content Advisor window which is impossible to disable unless you type in the correct password...I cannot go anywhere on the Web without this window blocking me so quite understandably I am searching for an answer...thanks again! It all turned out to be pretty simple :) Hope this or this (or, for that matter, this) will help.
