 Over here its more economics that regulate your shower pressure. Most people have an electric type of power shower. They take cold water and heat it as it passed through the unit. Obviously the higher the pressure you want the more energy it will take to heat the water to the required temperature as it now rapidly passes through the unit. Unless you want to pay loads for a high power system that can heat bucketloads of water in a second with your average unit it tends to be the higher the pressure the colder the shower.:( Jon

Yeah true. Weak showers, cold showers and low shower heads though are one of the evilest things in life. regards, Paul Watson Ireland Colib and ilikecameras. K(arl) wrote: oh, and BTW, CHRISTIAN ISN'T A PARADOX, HE IS A TASMANIAN!

The only justifyable use of a lowflow head is in a situtation where hte presure's low to begin with. My parents have well water and the presure in the 2nd floor bathroom's too low to make an old highflow head work well. They didn't so much spray as dribble.

My parents in law's shower is so powerfull it is painfull. I've never actually managed to be in the direct line of fire for more than a few seconds. Point it at a certain place and their chances of having more grand children would be drastically reduced.

regulated shower heads have been the law for years here. Not only shower heads but shitters as well. New shower heads have regulaters that dramatically reduce the water flow. The same with toilets, new ones significantly reduce the water flow for flushing. Of course that means you flush 3 times instead of once. The shower head rules are bypassed by anyone with a mind. It's simply a matter of taking a pair of needles nosed pliers and pulling out the little plastic restricter. All of this, courtesy of tree huggers. Mike "We ain't stuck on stupid." badass Lt. So, maybe you're beginning to understand why so many people in the US vote for the least liberal candidate. We get sick of that kind of crap too... Exactly the same in here. There is lots of water in my country. The thing in the US seems to be more related to scarcity of water. Patriotism is the willingness to kill and be killed for trivial reasons. Bertrand Russell (1872 - 1970) Patriotism is your conviction that this country is superior to all other countries because you were born in it. George Bernard Shaw (1856 - 1950) Patriotism is often an arbitrary veneration of real estate above principles. George Jean Nathan (1882 - 1958) Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel. Samuel Johnson (1709 - 1784)

No, not really. Water shortages in CA have nothing to do with tree huggers. Marc Pensieve

And NM, and AZ, and OK, and TX, and... and... and.... and... Almost everything in the USA that doesn't reach the Mississippi is in drought and has been for a long time. The Rio Grande river has not reached the gulf of mexico, at any time of the year, for the last 2+ years. It's reach limit has been receeding up the river as water consumption exceeds volume. I believe last year was the first time the river dried up before Big-Bend. _________________________ Asu no koto o ieba, tenjo de nezumi ga warau. Depends on your perspective, of course, but, yes, shower head regulation is not generally considered part of the right wing agenda. Common misperception by the uneducated. Drought means you have less water than you "normally" get, even a desert can get less than normal. _________________________ Asu no koto o ieba, tenjo de nezumi ga warau. Who cares anyway? It's just water.
We say "get a life" to each other, disappointed or jokingly. What we forget, though, is that this is possibly the most destructive advice you can give to a geek.

Our right wing government just decided to punish bikers who 'unleash' their bikes. 'Unleashed' bikes are accepted by european regulations but not by french ones. Now, somebody doing that could get a fine of 30,000€ and be jailed for 2 years. Now tell me, do you really believe right wingers better respect individual freedom?

Not so much[^]. I suppose solution of the Mises Institute for such a problem is to let the market decides: the ones who can afford it get the water, and the others parch.
