Hi all, I have a strange neighbor living next to my house. He has a 15-years old son, and he gave his son a real gun to play with. The naughty son like to wander around to kill cats, dogs around the community. When all ppl complain to his father, he replied " well, I have an agreement with my son : in every four years, I decide whether to give or take away the gun from my son according to his performance, and it is not the time yet, so I can do nothing now !". What should the ppl in the community do ?

People told him it was Soapbox material, so he moved it here :-) Well, the way I see it is, if he's got trouble picking between two forums, is he qualified enough to talk about international politics and security? Regards, Nish

I have no sympathies for him, but do you expect every visitor to instantly figure out which forum is ideal for which topic? I didn't see you expressing the same views on the hordes of people who griped* about VS2005 in the Lounge. But I agree, he's daft. * IMO, it was perfectly fine for them to post it in the Lounge. Cheers, Vikram.

He's not new here, he's been a member for a while, has posted messages for a while, and when he posted hist first 2 threads, he got at least a dozen replies asking him to post such stuff in the SB. A 3rd thread within 24 hours on the Lounge! Hmmm, no, I am not that tolerant, Vikram.

That's because my human side took over and I enjoyed those threads. If I was a VB programemr, I'd have griped I bet :-) Regards, Nish

Not as not new as those who posted the VS2005 messages in the Lounge, but I think we both know where this is going, so I suggest we stop this discussion. :-D

Meaning you're otherwise in Nishbot mode? ;P Cheers, Vikram.

Yes, although I can't figure out where I agreed with Stan's views on Muslims. In fact, I've opposed his 'hate all Muslims' posts. But now, now, we shouldn't let facts stand in the way of Adnan Siddiqui's opinions. :-D Cheers, Vikram.

You live in the United States. A simple call to the local police/sheriff should suffice.

Well, in that case (not to start a flame war)..... I have some interesting neighbors as well. Their dogs tear up everything. They killed our cat, we don't feel safe going outside our door. They saw their dog maul and eat a toddler right on their front lawn. They said "our dog would never do that". The dogs happened to jump through the window of neighbor's house (he's Jewish) and attacked him in his bed. The neighbors with the dogs said he deserved. Then we had this semi-retarded guy move into the neighbor. He shot one of the dogs with a pellet gun after they killed his cat. PETA threw a gigantic fit and had a protest march in the neighborhood. The owners of the dogs won't stop their dogs, and they won't let anyone else do so either. Now, the dogs are breeding and spreading into other neighborhoods. They've even attacked their owners, who still won't turn against them. If the rest of the neighborhood's only option is to give a real rifle to the semi-retarded kid who will actually shoot the dogs, do you blame them? (Hint the dogs above represent radical Islam, the retard is Bush, the other neighbors are the rest of the world, and the neighbors who own the dogs are moderate Islam). The part that really sucks is that everyone wants to live in peace except for the dogs...
