Dynamic Parsers
-
I am interested in technolgies related to creating run-time parsers. I need to be able to parse a large garmmar (1000's of rules) that will change quarterly. (The grammer can be updated by web site) I have looked at ANTLR, Grammatica, etc. but what I really need is a good web site with describing the fundamentals of dynamic or run-time parsing. In college I wrote (didn't everyone?) a recursive descent parser for Pascal, what I asume was pretty common for a Computer Science degree. I have used Yacc and Lex, so I know some fundamentals... I know what BNF, EBNF etc are, yadda yadda yadda. What I am hope to produce is a Intellisense, ChromaCoding syntax checker for the grammar. Basically I am looking to decide if I should write my own or use someone else's parsing technology. The syntax of the grammar is similiar to Cisco IOS commands. .............................
