In-memory DB engine?
-
Is anyone here aware of any in-memory DB engines that can be used to run simple queries against? I am looking for something that could read in an XML serialized dataset bu then let me run SQL style queries against it. I have been playing around with using DataViews on a DataSet but that does not seem to be as in depth as I would like. I am interested in in doing some grouping and sorting functions so I can run reports against the data I get back. I could import this data into a local DB like MSDE or maybe even Access (ech) if I really had to but I would love to avoid that if I could. Otherwise I am kind of stuck writing this query and reporting code myself.

Sorry to take so long to see your message, but investile sqlite as it'll have the features you're most likely to want. There should be a number of wrappers for .NET out there.
