    I am ashish , a college student. I have opted to make a complete ERP package for our college to govern and streamline the workflow of our college . I have to start from the scratch so plz help me with this. This is the frst time I am developing anything but i have the theoretical knowledge with a little pr:^)actical exposure.:^) Lets gamble the world

      Then you have enough to get started. What you ask for help on is a huge area and there is no way anyone could answer you in the space of a forum post as a comprehensive answer could quite easily take up a book. I assume that you have the theoretical knowledge to design a system. Therefore, design one. If you have difficulty with designing an area one way over another then come and ask - we can help with that if you keep it specific and high level. When you get deeper into the system and you are facing problems with the implementation then come back and ask - we can help with that also if you keep it specific. The key is keeping it specific - the request above was vague.         Hello Ashish, I am giving you a way of thinking. Apply Divide and Rule Policy i.e. Divide the complete ERP Into Modules. But according to College, there are Departments. So take depts as a module and take down activities of each department. Bye Pankaj Kulkarni

          check this out http://www.sdmagazine.com/uml/[^] design it in UML before you start to code 1 line of code equals many bugs. So don't write any!!
