Yes, I saw that already, but removing one's self from all the newsletters doesn't necessarily remove your account, right?
The only thing you've ever done with the account is post these two messages here (and you can always delete those). So what's the big deal? Well, I created a new account (not realizing I already had one from a while back); but considering your very rude response, it's a wonder how you keep visitors in the first place... Sheez, excuse me for asking a question that clearly isn't in the FAQ (which I did read before even posting here). With today's security being an issue, you'd think you would have the same functionality as every other opt-in web site that allows people to remove their accounts when no longer needed, instead of leaving them basically "active" but opting out of emails only.

Please send an email to webmaster@codeproject.com and request that the duplicate account be deleted. There's no direct way to delete an account (as of now). Regards, Nish

Sorry, I'm obviously not having the best of days. I did not intend to be rude - I just wanted to get at the reason why you wanted to delete the account. I just leave accounts dormant (including at the bank) that I no longer use.

I suppose I have a different outlook on security. I set up separate email accounts for things that I trust (like CodeProject) and things I don't. If things go awry I can always ditch the email account and move on. Once again, I would like to apologies if I was rude. It wasn't my intention. Appreciate the sentiment; got the reply I needed from another poster... I do similar things (create throw away email accounts), but if I can notify the site in question, I at least try to get rid of accounts. I work for a marketing company and marketing to busted emails costs as much as deliverable ones, which is why i at least make the attempt where I can.
