Sorry, that joke doesn't work outside of the UK (and perhaps a few other 3rd-world countries).

Now taking suggestions for the next release of CPhog...

OK, here is an "International version" then, for you foreigners: Johnny walks into school one day to find a substitute in place of his regular teacher. She says, "Hello class, I’m Mrs. Prussy. When you say my name class remember it has an "r" after the first letter." The entire class says, "Hello Mrs. Prussy." A few days later the regular teacher is still sick. When Johnny gets to his desk the teacher asks what her name is. Johnny thinks hard and the says to the teacher, "I Remember it has an "R" after the first letter." "That’s right," she coaxed. Then after a few seconds Johnny says, "Mrs. Crunt?" ;P

Sorry, but what is it that you have against those countries?

For starters, they say "fanny" to female genitals. ;P

A guy was at the local dance and he asks a girl to dance. "OK," she replies. "What's your name?" he asks. "Franny," she replies. "That's a nice name, Fanny," he says. "NO, NO, NO, it`s Franny, Fanny with an R." "OK, sorry," he replies and they carry on dancing. Later on, at the end of the evening, he says, "Can I take you out on a date, Fanny?" "Look," she says. "It's Franny, Fanny with an R." He apologises again. She agrees to meet him the following week, but she insists, "You must remember my name- don't forget Fanny with an R." All that week the guy is looking forward to the date and trying really hard to remember her name, saying to himself, "Fanny with an R, Fanny with an R, Fanny with an R." The weekend arrives and it's time to pick her up for the date. Walking up to the house, he is still saying to himself, "Fanny with an R, Fanny with an R." He knocks on the door and her father answers. "Hello," he says, smiling. "Is CRUNT in please?"

This IS the soapbox. 5 - even though your post is a crude, childish personal attack on me and I bet you have always gone out of your way to show everyone that you are "in" with the rest of the herd. Here is a 5 then, to compensate you for your efforts. Be elated, Elaine, for you have finally been given some recognition.

Against? Oh, no - i feel nothing but pity for those poor nations whose citizens are so lost and confused that they misuse the term "fanny". What a terrible burden they must suffer under, and what horrible, repressive governments must rule over them! And here we are in the US, charged with the protection of the free world, ignoring this travesty! It's just plain sad. :sigh:  Wow, did that joke fall flat! Some folks must really love their fannies...

Now taking suggestions for the next release of CPhog...

Sshhh! I don't want the thought police to know this... I agree with you. Our government is repressive beyond even Orwellian standards. Ahem! That's such a terrible thing to say. Tony Blair is a fine upstanding citizen and Gordon Brown is the very essence of fiscal responsibility. :-D

Crude jokes kick ass, girlfriend or no girlfriend. The day you find yourself too pussywhipped to laugh at one is a good day to become single again. Steve

It is... Unless you're stuck in certain underprivileged countries where for presumably tragic reasons it refers to the female genitals. ;)

Wow - that dictionary site has got it wrong. I can still remember how shocked I was the time I saw a US TV show where a father threatened to paddle his daughters fanny. And you say WE'RE the third world... That sort of stuff is illegal around here. http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=fanny[^] 2: external female sex organs; "in England `fanny' is vulgar slang for female genitals" [syn: female genitalia, female genitals, female genital organ] Christian Graus - Microsoft MVP - C++
