Yes. We europeans get shafted for fuel duties. I used to rofl when the yankies moan about fuel prices! Although these days they are getting a rough deal too. After reading lots of posts about fuelprices and stuff, I'm really wondering, how much gas CPians cars need... I have a Mazda that needs 7,9l per 100km (means som 30mile per gallon) Q1: So how much does your car need? I'm from germany, and here gas prices have always been higher than in the US, much higher. At the moment, gas is near 7$/gal. Q2: How much is gas where you come from? Greetings! Olli!

Currently with a volvo V40 I'm guessing about 7 to 7,5 liters. (Although it's highly dependent on your driving style)

I think it's about 1,12€ per liter for diesel; Fuel is about 1,45€ per liter. [That's in Belgium that is ... :)] Coulda, woulda, shoulda doesn't matter if you don't. -- modified at 6:58 Wednesday 26th April, 2006

I get about 35-40 miles to the gallon (2003 Mondeo 1.8), but I do very few miles (~5,000 last year) as I work from home 3 or 4 days a week and also live close to the office (12 miles or so). Hence petrol prices aren't at the top of my agenda. Nowhere near the top in fact!

I drove :) I got this result on highways and country roads, it raises to 5l/100km when driving in city. It's also exceptionnal. BTW, have you or had you a problem with the Airbag warning light?

A1. Around 38mpg A2. 95.9 to 98.9p/l and rising. :( Where I live (Cornwall, UK) the public transport system isn't startling so I can't do without a car. Living in a tourist destination (grumble, mutter) the price usually goes up "in season" and was pushing £1/litre over Easter in places.

OK, here we go, I don't actually know the exact prices, but: a litre of milk is 0,60€ per litre, means 0.48$/l and 1.824 per gallon. bread, we have lot's of bread, difficult to say, let's take toast... a loaf of toast is ~0,40€ = 32cents movie tickets 6€ - 8€ Hope this helps!

Well a Euro is about 1,25$ so 0,60€ would be 0,75$ and 0,40€ would be 0,50$. But milk should be a little bit cheaper, last week I paid 0,49€ to about 0,60$! Right now, a gallon of milk is about the same as a gallon of gas, $2.80.

True, there is a big price range here, too. Store-brand white, sandwich bread is around $1.00, while other name brands are around $2.50.

Most of the theaters in my area are charging $8 per ticket. Matinee prices are a dollar or two less.

Something really expensive in Germany are jeans: normal costs 75€ to 100€ for normal jeans (levis, lee, etc.) Greetings, Ingo ------------------------------ PROST Roleplaying Game War doesn't determine who's right. War determines who's left.
