    Exact same car, have an average of 4.5l/100 km. Must drive a bit more nervously than your girlfriend does, Karl. :) ~RaGE();

    I drove :) I got this result on highways and country roads, it raises to 5l/100km when driving in city. It's also exceptionnal. BTW, have you or had you a problem with the Airbag warning light?

      After reading lots of posts about fuelprices and stuff, I'm really wondering, how much gas CPians cars need... I have a Mazda that needs 7,9l per 100km (means som 30mile per gallon) Q1: So how much does your car need? I'm from germany, and here gas prices have always been higher than in the US, much higher. At the moment, gas is near 7$/gal. Q2: How much is gas where you come from? Greetings! Olli!

      A1. Around 38mpg A2. 95.9 to 98.9p/l and rising. :( Where I live (Cornwall, UK) the public transport system isn't startling so I can't do without a car. Living in a tourist destination (grumble, mutter) the price usually goes up "in season" and was pushing £1/litre over Easter in places.

        Just so we're on the same page, what is the cost of other goods such as a gallon of milk, a loaf of bread, a movie ticket?

          OK, here we go, I don't actually know the exact prices, but: a litre of milk is 0,60€ per litre, means 0.48$/l and 1.824 per gallon. bread, we have lot's of bread, difficult to say, let's take toast... a loaf of toast is ~0,40€ = 32cents movie tickets 6€ - 8€ Hope this helps!

            Well a Euro is about 1,25$ so 0,60€ would be 0,75$ and 0,40€ would be 0,50$. But milk should be a little bit cheaper, last week I paid 0,49€ to about 0,60$! Right now, a gallon of milk is about the same as a gallon of gas, $2.80.

              True, there is a big price range here, too. Store-brand white, sandwich bread is around $1.00, while other name brands are around $2.50.

              Most of the theaters in my area are charging $8 per ticket. Matinee prices are a dollar or two less.

                Something really expensive in Germany are jeans: normal costs 75€ to 100€ for normal jeans (levis, lee, etc.) Greetings, Ingo ------------------------------ PROST Roleplaying Game War doesn't determine who's right. War determines who's left.

                  Wow, that is bad, but if people were not willing to pay that amount, retailers would have no choice but to lower their prices. I'm glad to have outgrown the need for name-brand clothing.

                    Well, you're right I think. But most younger people would kill for name-brand clothing here. You are nothing if you don't wear a wellknown name on your brest or your feets. :laugh:

                    Yes, me too. I buy the cheap ones for 15 up to 25 Euros. They are the same just without the "good sound" of an expensive name ;) ------------------------------ PROST Roleplaying Game War doesn't determine who's right. War determines who's left.

                      Hmmm. Well I drive a 4x4 Ford Explorer. It gets about 16 MPG in town and about 21 on the highway. My daily commute is about 6.2 miles round trip from home to office. So 3.00 a gallon isn't killing me. Gas prices in Dallas right now are running from a low of 2.92 to 3.05. My wife has a VW convertible which gets about 27 MPG. Together we drive about 15000 miles a year. So far So good. Richard Suppose you were an idiot... And suppose you were a member of Congress... But I repeat myself. --Mark Twain

                        I've just got a new Diesel, and get about 60mpg. Diesels cost more though as does the fuel, so its not quite so good. Main reason I got it was to try out bio diesel, and try and do my bit from a carbon cycle point of view. Would the government lower tax on bio diesel though to get the market going? Would it hell.
