"Jesus was a sissy, pretending to walk on water, and all of his followers are a naive bunch of hipocrites, who will be deeply disappointed a microsecond before their death, when they realize that the end really is the end." That's ridiculing christians, or "bashing" as you put it. I've never seen Mike writing anything of the sort. What the hell are you people smoking??? You, espeir, and that other twat (i forget the retard's name) are just as intellectually challenged as any hotheaded raghead in the deepest deserts of the middle east.

"Ridiculing" is not the same as "bashing". You gave an example of "ridiculing" (and I'm sure you messed you pants in delight while doing it). An example of bashing is equating Christians turning in a nutcase they know before a crime is ever committed to some captured terrorist who killed untold people giving up their leader as a plea deal: "Wasn't it some of Al-Zarqawi's own people who ratted him out?" Get it?

Then why are you so desperate to be in the ideological minority while kgaddy and I are clearly going against the grain?

I do too, and I CHOOSE to have faith, I was never told too, and never forced into it. But I am tolerant of those who do not. I have no plans to chop un-believers heads off. Well here we go. Can you name one post where espeir I or anyone else said anything like this? Of course not every Muslium is a murdering terrorist.

I'm not arguing that. I made one singular comment that used one singular bit of obviously flawed news to hopefully show that anecdotal "evidence" is useless in making sweeping generalizations.

I don't believe I read the word "Christian" ANYWHERE in that article. I did see it down below in some sort of news highlights. "An area family thought they lost their four-year-old son Justin in a crash last week. Monday they learned that Justin is still alive and they actually lost thier seven-year-old son Christian." I don't know if he went to church or anything from this text. I know you are trying to make a point Ed, but you failed. Rather miserably in fact.

You must have special glasses that help you read between the lines. It does not indicate anywhere in the article that he professed to be a Christian. Belief in God does not equate to a profession of faith in Christ, ask your average Jew. I would have thought that someone of your intelligence would have known that, or are you just trolling? Just to be clear, I am not saying that he is not a professed Christian. I am, however, challenging your assertion based on the "facts" you presented. No, I'm just showing attitude towards snotty little bastards. It has nothing to do with religion. Christianity (or any other belief system/religion) is not some magic pill, making it possible to get away with idiocy and arrogance, without anyone shoving it back down your throat. If your pastor told you so, you've been had.

Gotcha. But getting crap from family is not the same. I'm sure that even if you were not agnostic, your family would find something to give you crap for. The feces he's chewing is clearly spilling out, here in the soapbox.

I thought it was a good point. At least it warranted an intelligent response. My mom told me once that "while we all don't speak the same language, everyone in the world undestands an asskicking" -- modified at 17:27 Friday 9th June, 2006

Who said it was? It's a beief system. Those who believe it think they are right and everyone else is wrong. Those who do not believe it think they are right and evryone else is wrong. Whats so hard about that? You think I am completely wrong to believe in Christ. I believe you are completely wrong not to. So we are even. Thats the thing about belief systems, you have to believe.

Again, just because you do not believe does it make him an idiot? Actually I agree with him, and disagree with you, but I am not calling you an idiot. We all just beileve diffrent things, so what, no big deal. Oh and this arrogance crap is getting old. Americans are very proud, does that make us arrogant? Are you proud to be a Swede? If so, good for you!

Who was shoving anything down anyone's throat? We are in the soapbox having a discusssion. Just becasue someone doesnt agree with you does not mean they are shoving anything down your throat.

You have to be a completely dedicated anti-Christian to draw any kind of parallels between the behavior of the followers of the two religions. I mean, my God, the mere fact that this guy was turned in by one of his own is proof of just how much more could be done if the Muslim community as a whole cared a billionth as much as the Christian community does. As much as you, in your quest to undermine Christians, would enjoy that...I'm perfectly calm. I'm simply amazed at your screwed up world view.
