      What is the largest possible number you can write using only 2 digits - just 2 digits, nothing else? Emphasizing that only 2 digits are used!!!! :-D Their are a few work arounds on this one, but if you follow the gindline to the riddle there is only one answer... "C++ will solve any problem."

        I assumed there was a more smart arse answer. The two digits are fingers that you use to hold a pen. With two fingers you can write the symbol for infinity. I'm not a native English speaker, but isn't what you're looking for an expression with two digits rather than a number?

              That profile pic of yours is awesome. Every year I buy a new Habs flag and attach it to my truck and fly it all year until the Canadiens are eliminated from the playoffs. Doing this in the heart of Maple Leaf country is akin to suicide, but I've managed to survive for a couple of decades now. :) Chris Meech I am Canadian. 1. Agreed on the profile pick! 2. Agreed on the Habs banner flying! Growing up in Northern Ontario, we had two choices for watching hockey: Habs in English, Habs in French. Go Habs!:-D

                        Maple Leaf country - where the fans have two mottos August - April - "This is our year!" May - July - "We'll get em next year!" There was talk a while back of getting an NHL team in Hamilton. But the league realized that if Hamilton got a team Toronto would want one too! I could go on and on... Flames in 2007!! I'm pretty sure I would not like to live in a world in which I would never be offended. I am absolutely certain I don't want to live in a world in which you would never be offended. Dave

                          What alphabet are we working in? If you go hexadecimal FF is bigger than 99, Thinking further ZZ would be bigger then FF, but maybe other alphabets have more letters :) I've found a living worth working for, but I haven't found work worth living for. :beer:

                                You never specified what base you were working in. F^F = 613 B62C 5977 07EF. ~= 4.37 *10^17. :->

                                And for base 37: Z^Z = (base 10) 36^36 ~= 1.06 * 10^56 As long as you can make up how to write the digits, you can increase the base, so unless you specify a base the highest possible number doesn't exist. --- b { font-weight: normal; }
