Stop the madness

Save Lebanon. Farmer Giles was fat and enjoyed a slow, comfortable life. Then one day a giant blundered on to his land. Farmer Giles managed to scare him away and instantly became a hero. So it was natural that when the dragon Chrysophylax visited the area, it was Farmer Giles who was to do battle with it.
Hi Somebody (whatever your name might be) the madness in israel an its neighbour countries is not new at all. Actually the madness is so old that whole generations grew up not knowing about any alternative. I mean BOTH sides' madness, not ONLY the madness of muslim peoples or ONLY the madness of israel. The situation has been mad for years. I don't think anybody will be able to stop it today ot tomorrow. I'm not so pessimistic. I mean, Europe was at war with itself for as long as I know. AFAIK, the last intra-Europe* war(s) was between the former Yogoslav republics. France and the UK had been fighting each other for a very long time, and they've been buddies since WW1. France and Germany were similarly hostile, but they've been thick chums since WW2. I'm only hoping the leaders of the Middle East; India, Pakistan and China; RoK, DPRK and Japan and so on come to their senses. Some leader has got to stand up and say "This madness must stop". :sigh: Ok, so much for my return to the SB. I'm off. * I'm leaving out the NATO invasion of Kosovo, obviously. Cheers, Vikram.

The wars in Europe were about all possible stupid so called "reasons", but mostly they had not much to do with religion. UK, France and Germany are all christian nations. Religion seems to be the world's biggest problem nowadays, because it prevents people from coming to their senses.

Hezbullah guided by Iran and Syria has established a state in a state in Lebanon. Unfortunately their plan's not gone as intended. All but the looniest members of the arab league have came out condemning both groups. Considering that even many of the saner states officially live in a world where the state of Isreal doesn't exist this action pretty decisively counts as a smackdown on hezbullah.
