How to set a .ico as default icon to my application

I have an x.ico file and I want to set it as my default application icon, that is .exe icon and application icon. How to do this. Thank you.

See CWnd::SetIcon

paste it in the resource folder (res/), delete the old .ico and rename x.ico like the old one you just deleted. it's the most simple you can do.

Hi You can import the x.ico into the resources. Then delete existing IDR_MAINFRAME icon, and rename your new icon to IDR_MAINFRAME.

SetIcon will only work!
