Hi I have solution (VS2005) which contains many projects and - for example - I reference project A in project B. When I add .dll file from bin\debug it doesn't change automatically to bin\release when I compile it as release version (but it was like that in VS2003). When to set Copy Local on True? I couldn't find any usefull article about that. What is the rule for adding dll files to Detected dependencies in Deployment Project Properties? Many thanks for help Ela

There are project references and there are file references. It sounds like you're referencing the dll file directly. Why not just add a project reference?
