Wow, all the lefties must be very happy about that! Their tactics have succeeded again!

    Thank God for disproportional force.

You must have a really weak government because the leftists tactics always succeed. Or is the US government made of leftists, too?

First Vietnam now this: Pakistan signs peace accord with N Waziristan militants. This is where Osama bin Laden is supposed to be living. Pakistan being a sovereign nation and the USA not very interested in negotiating a treaty to allow troops into their country, especially with UN rules the way they are most likely going to be able to live out their natural lives. Apparently they dealt some serious defeats to the Pakistani army. Pakistan says Bin Laden free to live there in peace[^] **Press secretary to the president of Pakistan tells ABC Osama bin Laden will not be captured if he agrees to live 'peaceful life'** Ron Brynaert Tuesday September 5, 2006 Major General Shaukat Sultan Khan, press secretary to the president of Pakistan, tells ABC News that -- if found -- Osama bin Laden won't be arrested, as long as he promises to behave like a "peaceful citizen." "If he is in Pakistan, bin Laden 'would not be taken into custody,' Major General Shaukat Sultan Khan told ABC News in a telephone interview, 'as long as one is being like a peaceful citizen," report Brian Ross and Gretchen Peters at ABC's blog, The Blotter. "The surprising announcement comes as Pakistani army officials announced they were pulling their troops out of the North Waziristan region as part of a 'peace deal' with the Taliban," reports ABC. Pakistan will also be returning many Taliban prisoners and seized weapons. According to VOA, "security experts say Afghan insurgents and remnants of Osama bin Laden's al-Qaida terrorist network have managed to establish several bases in the region." Earlier today, President Bush cited Pakistan's help in working together "to stop the world's most dangerous men from getting their hands on the world's most dangerous weapons," in a speech on the global war on terror he gave in Washington, D.C. to the Military Officers Association of America. "Working with Great Britain and Pakistan and other nations, the United States shut down the world's most dangerous nuclear trading cartel, the AQ Khan network," Bush had said. "This network had supplied Iran and Libya and North Korea with equipment and know-how that advanced their efforts to obtain nuclear weapons." Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, famously known as the "father of Pakistan's nuclear program," was dismissed from his position as Science Adviser to President Musharraf in January of 2004 but

Your obviously in denial. The next stage is anger I think. That should be a sight.

I'm afraid that your leftist, anti-American fantasy has not quite come true. But thank you for demonstrating that some wacko statement of one Pakistani indicates to you that the "US loses war on terror". You're obviously way past the anger stage.

Which isn't that much more than the us army attrition rate in peacetime (over 1000 a year). Coalition casualties are not the problem, inability to stop spiraling chaos is.

The left in the US is, like Muslim extremists, basically unhappy with our freedom and Democracy. They prefer power and don't have it. As such, they're waging a rather brutal propaganda war against the US. It's really pretty sad. My concern now is that we're going to see violent insurgencies within the US based upon false claims of voter fraud. That's been the overall trend within the past few years. Freedom is under attack on all sides.

Apparently the AlQadia brand is too strong for this (or any) administration to pass up. It was absorbed into a larger organization, which is never mentioned in press releases. There are larger organizations that are doing quite a bit of damage directly to the war machine of the invading army, yet they are practically unmentioned (apparently no name recognition by the average Joe). I too noticed the recent spike in ‘good news’ releases and optimistic analysis (by staying the course things will almost be under control). Back in the real world....

"If someone is found there, we will see what is to be done," General Sultan said today. Well, at least the Pakistanis have a clear plan as to what they would do if bin Laden, or someone, was found within their borders. Because a fella like that doesn't deserve any kind of special consideration. The good thing is that the US can drop the awkward relationship with Pakistan.
