A Senate Intelligence Committee report discloses for the first time an October 2005 CIA assessment that prior to the war Saddam's government "did not have a relationship, harbor, or turn a blind eye toward Zarqawi and his associates." It concludes that postwar findings do not support a 2002 intelligence community report that Iraq was reconstituting its nuclear program, possessed biological weapons or ever developed mobile facilities for producing biological warfare agents.[^]

You can say what you want to about Bush for the rest of your natural life. I don't really understand how people can spend years belittling others in a situation when in fact they have no clue how they themselves would've handled the same situation, but I reckon some people do. But, consider this. He was smart enough to become president of the USA two times over. This is not an easy task. Has he made some dumb moves... hell yeah! Is it time for a new president... hell yeah! But, what have you done with your life to make a difference? Good or bad, stupid or smart, at least he's making an impact with his life. We should all be so lucky to strive for the same.

I didn't read the article (just the post) mainly because the SB is a place to bitch and never learn. Also, making a joke is not ingorance. If you cannot tell the difference, and there really is nothing more to say.

How many millionaires in the world do you think become president? And, It's not like a father being president is a guaranteed way to become president either, otherwise you'd see that happening with every other president. But, I won't suppose you'd bother applying logic here.

correct. I was replying to the constant drum beat of, pick one, Bush lied, Bush stole the election, Bush is trying to frighten us, Bush is stealing our rights, Bush is deflowering our women (wait, wrong guy). In this particular case, the non-Al Q. connection is old news and is totally irrelevant. More over you can't trust the accuracy of the report.

I see your point on this, and perhaps I should've worded that better. It's not like the guy is Hitler. He's trying to do what he thinks is right. If people don't agree, they are welcome to do the same; he'll be out in 2008. He made a choice and is sticking by that. Was it a bad choice, that's what's open for debate. But, I'd rather a president not afraid to act because when the time comes he won't be afraid to act again when protecting this country. But, my real point is, I don't see how somebody can spend all their days bitching about someone else's work/decision. If you care that much, then why not go make a change yourself? What is bitching for years on end gonna solve? This goes both ways btw. I just kinda piggybacked on Ed's thread. I'm getting good at that actually.

Changing your "position" based on your own ingenuity or hard work is one thing - people assume you've earned it. Being born rich can be entirely different - the automatic assumption is you were handed everything on a silver platter and you've earned nothing. Ever notice how messed up the children of Hollywood stars typically are?

You are forgetting Bush didn't write the 2002 intelligence reports, he AND congress believed them to be true and therefore acted upon them. Don't single Bush out he didn't write the reports or go to war by himself. If you want to complain, complain about the congressmen also and stop being so narrow minded.

Exactly! And he is forgetting the CIA had no boss! Tenet deserved that medal he got for those fake reports. Cheney never pressured CIA for those fake reports. No one is accountable! Sh*t just happens! When will these lefties learn about it? After all, it's just 2,980 dead american soldiers, 120,000 dead Iraqis and 100 billion dollars wasted. What's the big deal?

How many millionaires in the world do you think become president? And, It's not like a father being president is a guaranteed way to become president either, otherwise you'd see that happening with every other president. But, I won't suppose you'd bother applying logic here.
