    Yes it does.

I know a few PhD's and they are definately not all smart, one of them has 3.

Obviously I am smarter than a person with 3 PhD's. Apparently they were too dimwitted to see the redundancy of having 3 degrees. Duh. Besides, doctorates in Basket Weaving, Agricultural Sciences and Psychology don't count as PhD's. So far, this thread confirms my initial hypothesis.

I'm trying to establish demonstrate the fact that I am the smartest person on this message board. So, how many of you other regulars have PhD's, or is it just me (thereby making me the smartest here)? :-D

have PhD's I do in 'Life of Hard Knocks!' Otherwise, I went to grade school! Just a comment.. My Son-In-Law is a Professor? or close to it, in Early Child Education... Hard for a Father-In-Law.. who 'took' one of my Daughter away... but I LIKE him ALOT! He is so smart! I get in conversations with him to try to get him mad at me and he hands me a lolypop! He is the greatest! AND he loves Hard Rock?

My doctor doesn't have a PhD. His "Dr" prefix is only a symbolic token and not indicative of original academic achievement. Medical doctors don't actually deserve the term in front of their name as they don't have PhDs. :-D Anyways, this entire thread is meant to be humorous so as to break the monotony of the SoapBox.

If you are evaluating someone's level of intelligence based solely on degree status, what is 1 PhD worth? Say, in comparison to 3 Master's degrees?

If you decide to become a software engineer, you are signing up to have a 1/2" piece of silicon tell you exactly how stupid you really are for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week Zac

Much more - Master's degrees are trivial.

I don't know if he loves Hard Rock...what, you think that my PhD gives me the answer to these questions, or what?

I'm trying to establish demonstrate the fact that I am the smartest person on this message board. So, how many of you other regulars have PhD's, or is it just me (thereby making me the smartest here)? :-D

As long as the specialist doesn't run into any situations outside his specialty, he would be better than an universalist. However, life doesn't tend to work that way ... and what is the percentage of people who have jobs in areas outside of the field they earned their degree in?
