It looks to me like you don't care much about the environment do you?

I care very much about the environment. You think that our heinous acts of dumping robot garbage on Mars doesn't keep me up at night? What kind of monster do you think I am?

You hear the same song by the loggers in Oregon. Let's cut down all the old growth forests because we need jobs. But in a few years, they'll all be gone to never return.

The evolution of the human genome is too important to be left to chance.

Well, at least we'll still have "fish sticks"! :)

Yes.. considering the fact that you can easily emulate fish sticks with ground tree and batter, we would still have fish sticks! (Until all forrests have been extinct of course, but then we'll all have dirt and gravel to chew on!)

I am sorry, is that supposed to be an argument in support of the theory that 'warming will cause all sorts of problems'?

No. If we assume that this current global warming is naturally reoccurring, and that it has an effect on the seas and it's inhabitants, one cannot assume that the effect will be identical to what happened a long time ago. Man did not fish species to the brink of extinction 2000 years ago. A larger population will endure environmental changes (natural or otherwise) better than a smaller one.

You cannot use mans overfishing as a proof of global warming!
