Which antivirus
-
I'm looking for some recommendations for antivirus software that doesn't have a problem running on vista. Personaly, I have been using Norton Internet Security since about 2000, so I'm not too clued up on whats good or not. It seems that Norton is not currently supported on vista. There is a beta version, which I'm using now, but it's totally %*&%** compared to earlier versions. The price is not really an issue here, I'm looking for something similar to Norton which updates itself, has a large repository of definitions and doesn't hog my system. If there is a firewall, that would be great too.

Compared to earlier versions? If you want a firewall, you're much better off looking at something like a router with an inbuilt firewall. None of those annoying pop ups every two minutes stating that you are the target of a port attack.

There aren't any Vista-compatible A/V packages yet. They all have to be re-written so that they crash gracefully when the OS farts.

I'll take a look at it. Something is better than nothing at the moment, I had to uninstall Norton AV, it was beyond a joke! Thanks.

I have just installed CA AntiVirus[^] as you suggested. I must admit I am a little worried considering the download was only 8.5mb. Nevertheless, I shall give it a try for a few weeks.
