... do cheaper Christmas crackers have crappier jokes in them?

Farmer Giles was fat and enjoyed a slow, comfortable life. Then one day a giant blundered on to his land. Farmer Giles managed to scare him away and instantly became a hero. So it was natural that when the dragon Chrysophylax visited the area, it was Farmer Giles who was to do battle with it.

Yes I can kind of see that. However, are funnier jokes really more expensive? I'm wondering if there's some sort of market where the cracker makers buy jokes from. Would you buy a joke from me and if so how much would you be prepared to pay for it. Maybe I could auction one off to the highest bidder. Will anyone start the bidding?

The cheaper ones outsource their joke departments to India and the humor doesn't translate well. ;P
