      It's never a bad thing to learn another language. Even the language bigots would have to agree with that. Yes, C++ is hard, but you have already taken the first step by learning OO techniques. You will find pointers confusing (why do you have void**, what is this & thingy anyway), but in the end you will get there. Along the way, you will learn a lot and have a lot of fun. Good luck.

        It should be a fairly easy transition. It's more learning the environment and namespaces than learning a new language (except for pointers).
