I need help looking for online bookstores that sells used or new books. To be specific, I wanted this book from Deitel that teaches C++ How to program 5th edition. Preferably not eBay or amazon since I've checked and it was still expensive for books. I've checked my local library but all were negative results. Thanks for your help.

Amazon is a ton cheaper than your local bookstore. If you google for used books, you may find something cheaper.

Windows with no internet connection is safe, but that's not what Windows was built for.

If you are in the UK try:- http://bookbrain.co.uk/ This searches 'all' the book sites for the cheapest book. Or for obscure books try http://www.bookdepository.co.uk[^]

Unless you have no choice in the matter, download Bruce Eckel's Thinking in C++ instead. Better book and free. <edit> Oops, forgot the URL http://mindview.net/Books/TICPP/ThinkingInCPP2e.html[^] </edit>
