Try looking for an eyeglass repair kit at a gas station or drug store. They usually include a small screwdriver or two.

You are lucky. They cost double that over here. :( You've probably done it by now but for future reference... take the battery out ASAP, and leave it in a warm dry place for about three days. Do not be tempted to turn it on once it looks dry -- leave it some more. If the phone was on while it was being washed, then there is much less chance that it will survive, but I have seen it happen with a mobile phone before so you may be lucky. I'm amazed how people manage to put things like this through the wash. A two second check before feeding your clothing to the washing machine is all you need. That, and getting in the habit of taking your phone out of your pocket as soon as you arrive home. I never leave mine in my pocket unless I am travelling - it is always on my desk or in my hand. Good luck. :rose:

My son recently dropped his new mobile down the toilet. He hadn't done anything yet and, no, I don't know how it got in there: he just mumbled that it fell out of his pocket. Anyway, he refused to use it again because it was 'dirty'. Kids, eh? Oncew I fished it out I took the battery and sim out and left it all on a shelf near the boiler. Week later it works fine. So now I have a almost brand new D900 and he's using my old phone. (He's only just upgraded!)

The washing machine did you a favor. Get rid of that nightmare of a phone.

Probably not going to work. I accidentally washed my husband's cell phone, too. Tried to fix it based on online stuff but nothing worked. He finally bought another one off Ebay.

Once, when very drunk, I dropped a mobile phone down the toilet whilst trying to order a cab and take a piss at the same time. I didn't really want to fish out of the toilet bowl, let alone hold it to my ear again. :) It never worked after that, surprisingly enough. However, I did get £20 for it when I went to get a new one. I didn't tell the sales guy where I'd dropped it - just that "it got wet".

You raise a goof point! I had the V3X for a while, but sold it after a month.
