Okay, I'm not a huge fan of YouTube but i was bored tonight so I was checking it out. TurboTax has a bunch of clips there--including one done by Vanilla Ice. Are other companies doing this on YouTube? I have to admit I find it intriguing. I normally switch the channel during the commercials. (And since I have ADD I tend to forget what I was watching.) but this time I actually checked it out. Do any of you find ads via sources such as YouTube more intriguing or do you tend to watch them because they are internet-based? And for G-d's sake, please don't bring global warming into the discussion. I know some of you are just itching for it.

This is bad. You are indirectly cursing Youtube for porn videos.

I know twisted sister have a clip on tehre, but I've not got around to checking it out. I'm always last to the party. I spent 6 months saying I thought the Internet was a bunch of hype, before finally signing up ( although, the people telling me were students, I still signed to the first ISP in Hobart ). And I think all these people watching You Tube videos are contributing to global warming, because they all have CRTs, which give off a lot of heat.

I get a lot of referrals to YouTube for humorous video content; other than that, I have no use for it. The ads I ignore - its a waste of advertising dollars as far as I'm concerned. But please don't tell the advertisers that. Without them the Internet would be a much poorer place.
