The BBC is also responsible for 'The Blue Planet', 'Doctor Who', 'Red Dwarf', 'Absolutely Fabulous', 'Fawlty Towers', 'The Young Ones', 'Black Adder' etc. Given the differences in budget, I'm amazed at how much better the average BBC produced show is than anything coming out of the US of A. Second hand information only, Christian. We only get BBCA here, and there's nothing there worthy of a second glance. Glad to hear there's some quality work being done there! Export some, PLEASE!

BBCA? BBC America? From your description of the programming, I'd guess it is highly filtered and localised for the average Joe Shotgun over there. ;P ____________________ David Wulff hu·mour Pronunciation Key (hymr) n. & v. I'm in Australia - we import it ourselves. The BBC has an excellent range of stuff on DVD, however. The Blue Planet in particular just *rules*. All the naughty bits are, of course, removed. Along with anything the least bit witty, or interesting. The Great Unwashed Masses here buy an awful lot of advertised widgets here, so the producers don't dare offend anyone.

Have you seen the other recent sci-documentary series they've produced, namely Walking with Dinosaurs and Space? Christian Graus wrote: Walking with Dinosaurs Missed this one. In that case, move it straight to the top of your DVD's to purchase list, 'cause it is truely excellent. They made a one-off followup program called The Ballad of Big Al (or something along those lines) which is equally worth getting ahold of if you can. The BBC made a follow-up/spin-off series called Living with Dinosuars which covered the time between the last of the dinosaurs and the earlist humans - it is well worth adding this one to you list. Christian Graus wrote: Space Has not been on TV here, AFAIK. This one starred Sam Neil and was equally excellent. ____________________ David Wulff hu·mour Pronunciation Key (hymr) n. & v.
