    Ok - here's an equation:

    x^x^x^x^x^x^x^x... = 2

i.e. x to the power x to the power x, and so on to infinity, is equal to 2. What is the value of x? Answer will be posted in a few hours, or tomorrow if I go to bed early :). -- Andrew.

Well....I guess how you read it. If x^x^x = x^(x^x) then the solutions is x = sqrt(2). If you read it x^x^x = (x^x)^x then there is no solution. Or did I just make a fool of myself? :-O .H --- Arguing on the internet is like running in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you're still retarded.

        It would be

        ....(((((x^x)^x)^x)^x)^x}...

And the x's being infinite in number. At least that was my belief. Maybe I made a fool of myself as well. :-O Regardz Colin J Davies

This is an equation you cannot tell a formula for. It involves some calculus knowledge. Best regards, Alexandru Savescu
