I hate ......

.... people who don't get hangovers! Its NOT right! And its NOT fair! Everyone says they drink lots of water and never get hangovers - I've tried that and it doesn't work for me :suss: . I'm going off to have a sulk now ..... and maybe a little drink to cheer myself up, huh! :(( Ali
People who don't get hangovers don't drink. People tend to lie to look hard, but I see through them. They are usually the same people who force beer down their throats, going "mmm lovely". Simon I need your clothes, your boots, and your copy of VS.NET. Sonork ID 100.10024

Simon Walton wrote: People who don't get hangovers don't drink. Bull! I put away on an average darts night two small pitchers (32 oz each), followed by a six-pack of 12-oz cans afterwards (if there's someone interesting to chat with on the PC). I haven't had a hangover in many, many years. When I was a youngster I often had them, but found that taking a multi-vitamin tablet with a huge glass of water virtually eliminated them. But it doesn't anymore :-( , which is one of the reasons I quit drinking. Also I smoke a lot when I drink which probably increases my carciogenic uptake quite a lot. Regardz Colin J Davies

One way to reduce the effect (of a hangover) is to drink LOTS of water along with your other drinks. Your body uses a lot of water to metabolize alcohol so replacing that while you drink helps a lot. You can further reduce the chances of even getting one by staying away from drinks that have added color - stick with the clear stuff since it is not as hard on the system. This is what I've heard anyway  Essam - Author, JScript .NET Programming

Hey Alison.... I didn't have a hang over this morning..!! After having 7 pints and a total of 6 cans [in the party before and afterwards] I managed to not get a hangover... and What did I do... I drank 3 pints of water before I went to bed.... it was harder than I thought to drink that much water but it actually worked!!! :rose:

I have tried drinking water but only half a pint to a pint, perhaps its not enough? Several people suggest vitamins too, and I've got some down stairs - so I'm gonna try it later. But if I wake up in a puddle in the morning, I'm holding you lot responsible! Ali

Alison Pentland wrote: But if I wake up in a puddle in the morning, I'm holding you lot responsible! Hey.. if I see you in the puddle it'll probably be becuse I've collapsed there beside you. I'm heading out tonight again.. SHoudl be a laugh... Rose is getting the train over from wexford and I haven't seen her in about 3 days!!!! So being great friends and all means that 3 days is a loing time and requires a trip to the nearest pub to celebrate our reunion!!! :-) Any excuse whatsoever to go to the pub... I think I'll get a reputation as a drunken Irish person here if I'm not careful [or has it already happened??? :)]
