How someone gets this MVP award? Is there exam or any other criteria?

It is by invitation. Someone has to nominate you. Then Microsoft monitor you for a couple of months, do some background checks and so on and they then let you know you've been awarded. I've a friend who has constantly rejected Microsoft's invitation. And a few months later they invite him again and he still says no.

Some of us actually like helping people. Not everyone is selfish and greedy. Personally, I like it when I help someone enough that they drop me a thank you note. That makes up for all the times that people don't give a proper explanantion of their problem then blame me because I tried to help them. Sheesh! To get some help a person needs to start by helping themselves at least part of the way.

Sir, Believe me , I did not ask this question to hurt somebody.I appreciate ur feelings.And as far as the greedyness and selfishness is concerned , I think - if u want to increase u knowledge , u need to share ur knowledge. and I really admire the deeds of people like Christian Graus , Satips , Dave Kreskoviak , Guffa and u(Colin Angus) and all those who contribute their knowledge here in code project site , the way they help others without money.It's realy great in itself.

Sir, Believe me , I did not ask this question to hurt somebody.I appreciate ur feelings.And as far as the greedyness and selfishness is concerned , I think - if u want to increase u knowledge , u need to share ur knowledge. and I really admire the deeds of people like Christian Graus , Satips , Dave Kreskoviak , Guffa and u(Colin Angus) and all those who contribute their knowledge here in code project site , the way they help others without money.It's realy great in itself.

If you are a resident of India, you can self-nominate [I don't know why India has a different rule to the rest of the world]. By the way I didn't self-nominate [even though I was in Trivandrum when I was first awarded]. I didn't even know of self nomination till a couple of years later. I do not approve of it either [self-nomination I mean].
