To do what? There are a multitude of data mining algorithms each offering benifits in specific areas. You need to be more specific about what you are trying to accomplish.

Actually i have a huge data given to me and i have to identify let say all students name, address, reg.no, who belong to electrical engineering. what else pattern means, and i want to know the names of DM algorithm. also which one i can use more quickly and fast to understand as well as effective in limited time span.
