An irate Rudy Giuliani blasted a fellow Republican candidate at last night's GOP debate for trying to blame the United States for 9/11. When Texas Rep. Ron Paul didn't back down from saying that American meddling around the world triggered the attacks, an exasperated Giuliani said, "Can I have 30 seconds, please!" I don't agree and probably don't disagree. My opinion is it isn't material. As a world power you are obligated to to do some level of intervention as protection for allies and as premption. I don't for a minute believe 9-11 is a response to any intevention, but rather a function of an Islamic desire to cow a world power with (their view) a degenerate society.
