I remember listening to a podcast recently about how difficult it was to model complex family relationships for some family tree software. It was especially bad at modelling the British Royal Family because of all the cousins marrying each other. I'd imagine this development would just make things worse.

If you think they're bad, try looking at the family-tumbleweed of the Egyptian pharoh's back in Rameses and old Tut's day... makes your hair stand on end! Never mind marying your cousins - they married their siblings, children, grandchildren...
