XP mainly as that is installed on my machine at home. Don't tend to play music whilst on-site workign. Michael :-) Errata 1: p. 154, section 'Defusing'. For 'red wire' read 'blue wire'.

Windows Media Player. I can use it to listen to my ripped CD's (though I have not pirated *anything* in my collection, which is no small feat I am told), the radio, and watch videos.
