Does anyone know how to move the users directory to another drive? I've found various hacks on the web but i can't find a sensible way to move it so that new users on the PC have their home directories created in the new place by default. This seems like something that should be so easy to do and possibly part of the install during partition setup but everything i've found seems to involve registry hacks. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks Russell

I've never done this myself, but I believe it's called "folder redirection". See if that turns up in the help system.

Folder redirection is fairly simple with Active Directory. Just use the Group Policy Management Console.

I was looking into something similar myself, but for the "program files" directory. While folder redirection works, it causes a problem with the windows update. Many updates will fail with the error code 80070011 ( can't copy files to another drive ). If the new folder is on the same drive there are no problem's, but then, what's the point in this? I've heard of people having the same problem after changing the "Users" directory also. So, just a heads up ;) MS has yet to release a fix for this.
