      1. developer (what, on CP? never!) 2. A 3. Dump stuff in it, like a clipboard you can look at :P 4. I use EditPlus2 as a proper text editor ... it has syntax highlighting and crap.

          1. "Software Engineer" (as opposed to a "real" engineer) 2) A.5 -- Fairly often 3) HTML, XML, XSLT, as a clipboard 4) I mostly use Edit for C# code (it's way better than Notepad for that)

            1. One-man development team (Programmer) 2) A - Very Often 3) As a clipboard, for quick note-taking, and as a scratch pad to write down ideas and fiddle with them. 4) For anything more organized, I use Excel (Easier to manipulate and arrange in two dimensions) I love notepad... The most stable piece of software Microsoft ever made.

                  1-Well I am a programmer! 2-Rarely 3-Well since its fast I use it to open some tutorials I download, I used to write C/Assembly languages code in it, but I created editors for these two so I am not using it alot now for code! 4-I already said I created my own tools for coding that can color the syntax for instance.:-D
