Not so - not at all. A few simple examples: Almonds can kill foxes, but are good for humans. Sheep can consume vast quantities of arsenic. Morphine, one of Man's favourite anasthetics, causes mania in cats and mice (favourite lab tetsing animals...) And the revered penicillin - saviour of millions of lives - will kill a guinea-pig (another favourite of the vivisectionists) stone cold dead. There are countless such examples.

You could say it was like an intense dream. I had a 3rd plateau experience on DXM. You can look up plenty of information on Google or Erowid.

This ain't soapbox, go over to Erowid.org and post there. Also be safe by doing research there before trying cough mixture again.

I have and I have (extensively).

It's supposed to be. You may not remember it clearly, but you probably dealt with some serious issues you have, and will probably feel better than before in a day or two.

Lets hope so, and I think you are right. I kind of feel like a new man.

I'm still messed up from 12am last night and my ears are ringing. That was the most fucked up I have ever been in my life and I'm still fucked up. Its going to take a while to recover from this one. Its like a beat my brain with a hammer or something. I hope I didn't do any permininate damage from last night. I don't think human minds were meant to experience what I experienced. Lets just say it was out of this world and extremely intense.
You're a perfect example of why I support extensive legal restrictions on drug use. While you could have probably made something decent of yourself by applying your free time to self-betterment, you're completely destroying your future instead. What a waste.

I know that feeling quite well. I've only have one or two third plateau journeys, and yes, I felt reborn afterwards.

Give me a break. You are completely clueless as to who I am and why I use drugs. No amount of laws will ever stop me from using drugs because thats just the way I am. My mind craves a drug experience. Its not addiction because I have wanted to do this for a long time, years before I even tried DXM (although I may be addicted to DXM now). Living a sober life all the time, now thats a waste and I find it to be a very sad life.

I think people like 73Zepplin know that, they just get some twisted sense of power out of doing it.

 I am a p h y s i c i s t not a b i o l o g i s t . I know that is hard for you to understand given your (dramatically low) level of reading comprehension and the fact that they both end in "ist", but that is the case, nonetheless.

I know a couple of things. Namely it appears that for a person your age, you have enough intelligence and capability to build a decent life for yourself if you applied yourself. I also know that you work at Waffle House. You're sacrificing your entire future so that you can pursue some inane drug addition. It's not like you're a Harvard student who's "experimenting" on the weekend. You already have the deck stacked against you. This obviously won't end well.

I had nothing to do that night and the day after except for a few house chores so I figured I would use my drug of choice DXM. Now look at me, 2 days after. I'm on my computer as usual doing my normal thing, bout to take a shower and eat breakfast and go about my normal routine of finding a job and finding something to entertain myself while reflecting on my first 3rd platue experience on DXM. Wow, such a waste of my life.

So now you're unemployed and spending your "free time" doing drugs? Yeah...You're a winner.

Yeah, this coming from a guy who drinks cough syrup to get high. Do you know how pathetic that sounds? Why don't you stick it on your resume seeing as you're so proud of it: Hobbies: Drinking cough syrup to expand the horizons of my consciousness. Oooooo, you'd be a shoe-in!

On the grounds that I can't believe you are really stupid enough to believe there is any scientific validity in what you've just said, I can only assume that, like Kyle last night, you are just trying to wind me up. Just in case you really haven't thought it through (or really are that stupid!) just stop for a minute and think: what difference does it make how many millions of tests are done on how many different types of animals, if none of them is going to give you any reliable information? The point is that the effect of any drug on one type of animal will tell you nothing about how that same drug will affect another type of animal (including the human animal).

My understanding is that animal testing progresses from simpler animals that may have chemistry dissimilar to that of humans (like rodents) and progresses up to animals that have more similar chemistry to humans (like chimps). Ultimately once adequate safety is demonstrated in those higher animals, testing begins with a limited number of human volunteers. Testing is then expanded until FDA approval comes in. I'm sure you could see the problems in testing experimental drugs on humans before conducting any animal testing...
