Safety First

George Carlin had an interesting tirade about how we've achieved a for sort of Safety Worship, although he was referring to soccer moms and the need to protect kids. "What ever happened to the kid who eats too many marbles doesn't get to grow up and have kids of his own?" Was one statement. It seems that San Francisco has taken this to a new height. We need to protect junkies from overdosing. Clickety[^] This just doesn't seem like a good idea. If they want to do it, fine, my libertarian stance allows that, but to sanction it, and provide a safe haven for it just exacerbates the problem in my view. If they are too stupid to stick to proper dosage limits they should pay the penalty for their mistakes.
This statement was never false.

In San Francisco just about anyone who asks gets medical. So there, its already decriminalized from that perspective.

Neither does the junkie clinic. That's only local to San Francisco. Your original point was in regard to that, no?

That chap could have a bright future, but he clearly has major issues to solve. Just wonder if his mental trauma is through the adversity of stress. If so, perhaps there is hope on the horizon [^] but there is another problem here insofar that this report reports the use of lab mice in experiments that will no doubt offend Fred Smith.

Do you know how street drugs work? Do you know why there are street drugs? Educate yourself, you look ridiculous right now.

Whatever... crawl back in your hole. My brother was an addict. Heroin and speed. Only the idiots aren't aware of their limits. Or those unfortunate enough to get a hot load. And how would this protect them? There's already bleach to clean the needles clean needle programs. I still don't condone supporting this. Do you support evolution and the survival of the fittest? Or do you support paying for nannies for addicts?

Stress? What could have caused that? He's 20 years old. Slept his way through high school. Has only had a menial job and daddy provides a nice (according to him) roof over his head. Maybe his problem is that he needs a little stress in his life? :suss:

Different people handle stress in different ways. There are those who take enormous amounts of stress in their strides (water off a ducks back) whilst others crumple at the slightest amount of stress. Perhaps he does need a little stress in his life, but by the same token, maybe he has more than enough stress already without more being added. And age is no respecter of mental ill-health, but if mental ill-health is his problem, he should seek professional help.

Well, he claims to be a depressive but can't afford any professional help. He bounces between being an utter asshole and whiney when he asked for help in this thread. Captain's plea for help[^] I notice you were a participlant giving him advice as was I. However, he turned right around and was soon bragging about his salvia experience and now his abuse of cough syrup. It's hard to feel much empathy for the guy.

Duh, moron, you sell drugs with ingredients and dosage information right on them. No more "hot loads" although I imagine you'd still take a few a day, right in the eye.

Those fucking insulin addicts, can't they just die already? You're out of your league here, your arguments suck and you have no idea what responsible drug policy is. Go read something, anything.

I love how this post gets voted down. Street drugs are created by the war on drugs. The harder the pressure you apply to illegal drugs, the lower the purity gets. This is the DEA's stated goal in the war on drugs, to reduce purity. They will tell you this. Because they can never remove street drugs from the US (the demand is too high), they have to rely on dealers replacing drugs with (hopefully) inert ingredients. What do you think happens when drug dealers are encouraged to put whatever they want to into their products except the drugs their customers think they are buying? Vote this one down too, retards.
