i have a topic for general discussion...

but i am not sure if it has been discussed. that is the memeber name. i found that is very interesting. the name may have some special meanings, and maybe have markings according to countries or families. many many things can result from it. my name "zhoujun" is my true name and also is a very popular name in China. yesterday i see a name "peterchen",it is quite likely that he has some relations with china because "chen" is special character in chinese.but i noticed that because i am a chinese, other people will not pay attention to it. give us your story about the names. that will interest us all/ ;) ;)
Back about 10 years ago, myu boss called me an outlaw programmer because I wrote code that people said couldn't or shouldn't be written, and I just generally went against the grain when dealing with the company's owner. Nowadays, it seems that Microsoft wants everyone to get on board with .NET (before that it was COM and SOAP). I don't think COM or SOAP are the end-all be-all to applications programming, and I certainly don't think .NET is either. And don't even get me started on DCMA, or Paladium. Since I don't follow Microsoft's party line, I will soon *officially* be branded as an outlaw, which doesn't bother me one f*ckin bit. I hide behind by real name, its so boring people forget me immediately. Do a search on the net and you will find I am a country and western singer from USA! Actually, it was surprising how many _Roger Allen_s there are out there that are famous to some degree. I just hope I keep the standard up! I chose my name from a book by Tom Robbins [new]. In particular, I think, Another Roadside Attraction. I haven't read the book in close to 5-7 years but there is a reference to a gathering of women or is it a girl who belongs to the David Crocket and Hotlemonade Society or some such thing. If you don't know or haven't read anything by Tom Robbins then you might think him strange and by all accounts you'd probably be right. BTW, he is my favorite fictional author. For those interested in his books here is a list.
- Even Cowgirls Get The Blues
- Another Roadside Attraction
- Still Life With Woodpecker
- Jitterbug Perfume
- Half Asleep in Frog Pajamas
- Skinny Legs and All
- Fierce Invalids Home from Hot Climates
I think a new one is going to be hitting the bookstores soon too.

Like David and Tom, I chose "Jeremy Falcon" because that's my name. Back in my h4X0r, 1337, wannabe days I went by Slick50 on IRC. I chose that because I just bought some for my piece of crap vehicle at the time started chatting. Nowadays, when I play games or something, I'll go by Snickers. My friend thought of that one when it comes to women for me because of the saying "Snickers satisfies you." I hope I live up to it. Jeremy L. Falcon Homepage : Sonork = 100.16311

I used to go by the pseudonym "MarSCoZa". "Mar" is the first 3 letters of my first name, and "S" is the first letter of my second name. The "CoZa" bit was because I'm South African. A while ago I finally felt comfortable enough to drop it and use my real name. CP is the only site where I feel comfortable enough to do so; everywhere else I still use that pseudonym.

Perhaps because it's a site BY programmer(s) FOR programmers. The email address is pretty hidden, so mail harvesters get no chance. Good job, ChrisM (and keep it that way) VictorV

Since everyone is giving their real name I guess I will too, I've been lurking long enough. For most of the Catholics and Latinos you will know what my name means, it is Concepcion Garcia Jr. Now for my email address well that comes from Sangamore Taylor which comes from Zodiac, an eco thriller.
