Well, my boss got fired over christmass. (The one I was getting pissed off with for being incompetent and a trouble maker). Well, he fucked up one to many and got the heave ho. Mind you quite a few have been trimmed from the firm in the last month, about 4 or 5. I think its partly the effect of having the managemenmt consultants in last year. I guess thay have been pointing a few fingers at a few less than optimal people and the hit squad created post management consultant visit has been busy at work. Still, my contract got picked up for another year so I'm OK. I guess thats the benefit of being a technical specialist, if you deliver the goods, they cant afford to get rid of you.

How much did you have to bribe them with? Hope the paycheque is still intact...

But you never get rich by delivering the goods. Manipulating with the goods is a source of wealth :-)

Unless they can find somebody delivering the same goods for less. Or they decide they don't want the same goods. Or somebody wants to get rid of you. There are many reasons to be fired...

I thought you wanted _him_, not his boss, to get fired so he would end up unable to pay his Internet bills and post anti-GW cr*p?

              Cheers, Vikram.
