An ATL modal dialog box that doesn't close
-
I have an ATL dialog box, but when clicking OK, Cancel, or the X on the window border, the window does not close. I have implemented the dialog box using CDialogImpl template class. Tx Michel It is a lovely language, but it takes a very long time to say anything in it, because we do not say anything in it, unless it is worth taking a very long time to say, and to listen to.

Where do you get your MP3s? cheers, Chris Maunder
Saw a great cartoon in Billboard magazine the other day. A guy is downloading from Napster and a girl comes up behind him. "What are you downloading?" she asks. "The fat lady singing," he replies... Chistopher Duncan Author - The Career Programmer: Guerilla Tactics for an Imperfect World (Apress)

Originally I used Napster of course, then when that went the way of the gutter I moved over to Limewire, then iMesh, then Gnucleus, then Morpheus for a long time. Then when morpheus went over to Gnutella and lost its speed i went over to Kazaa which I am on currently. How about u? Or are you a good little boy and buy all your music?

On a recent server-wide backup I managed to fill five 700mb CD's with MP3's. This made me wonder... a) How the hell did i manage that on a 56k modem?? b) There can't be 3.5gb of music that I like out there when I have a very limited appreciation of music? I did a check and to my amazement, every single track I had, I enjoyed and still want to listen to. Yet, when the radio is on I can barely hear one single song in a day on any station that I enjoy. Plus I can walk through HMV or Virgin Megastores and out of 12 huge rows of hundreds of albums I will only ever find ONE CD that I would sort-of consider buying. Any thoughts?

Chris Maunder wrote: Where do you get your MP3s? Good heavens Chris! There are 100s of web sites that give MP3s and 10s of ratio FTP sites where you upload one, download 5 etc. Then all those dozens of P2P software! Nish

AudioGalaxy was perfect in that it categorised everything and helped you find new music based on your current tastes that you would never have known about otherwise. Maybe one day the music industry will realise that if they give a little they'll get a whole lot more back. cheers, Chris Maunder
