According to this[^], one billion people are expected to watch the Superbowl. Since there are about 350 million people in North America, and probably not more than half of it will watch the Superbowl, where do the others come from? At kick off time, it was 15 minutes pass midnight and later in Europe, and it was very early morning Monday in most parts of Asia.

Giving Bush his daily war briefing, Donald Rumsfeld ended by saying: 'Yesterday, three Brazilian soldiers were killed.' 'Oh no!', exclaimed Bush. 'That's terrible.' His staff were stunned by this display of emotion. Finally Bush raised his head from his hands and asked: 'OK, so how many is a Brazillion?'

The superbowl was broadcast on a French channel through digital terrestrial television, so potentially 90% of the population could have watch the game - but I don't think a lot of them did. I read in the resumes that it was an interesting game, with David beating Goliath?

Not on a week night, but last night's super bowls prompted a midnight trip to the the local Woolies Food for muffins!

That's quite a jump from this year's estimated 97.5 million U.S. viewers, and last year's estimated 94 million U.S. viewers.

last years numbers for world viewership were huge as well even though I don't recall the exact total.
