If MM is Michael Martin, then those two represent "Aussie Personality" in their language, attitude and thoughts If MM is Martin Marvinsky, then they are like the poles. One of them is all ice (CG), the other one is all water (Martin) Nish

dammit, why do i reply to these things... open foot, insert mouth... There's an old saying: "I kept my mouth shut, and they thought me a fool. So I proceeded to open it and prove them right." This is Martin, who i believe is a great deal smarter than he lets on, but for some reason feels the need to share his feelings on a *lot* of things, and then argue his position until who ever he is arguing with gets bored and goes away. There is another old saying: "Jack of all trades, Master of none." * It really doesn't apply here, but i wanted symmetry, and am not really old enough to have a good collection of applicable old sayings yet. CG can't seem to stand the thought that he might be misunderstood, and will continue arguing until either his point is conceded, or it becomes obvious that he will *never* be understood. The combination of these two personalities has resulted in some *very* long threads, which often change topic several times over their run. Quite entertaining if you've the patience to read them through... *****i almost put in a famous quote about pearls and pigs... but that's just too insulting, and not really applicable either...

Aaah... It's time to relax. You know what that means: a glass of beer, your favorite ergo chair... And of course, The Code Project loaded on your Personal Computer System. So go on, and indulge yourself, put your feet up. Lean back and just enjoy the articles. After all, CP sooths even the savage :bob:

the saying is very joking. when i read it,i laugh out. but i dont think i will connect the saying with you. i think everyone will not connect the saying with you. maybe shog did a not so proper quote. when someone is in resentment,he will take it seriously, not for joking. :-O

Uh huh... you could have bothered to read further i suppose: This is Martin, who i believe is a great deal smarter than he lets on,... As zhoujun already surmised, i said this, as i say most things, more or less half-seriously. If it helps, you can imagine i've got one of Mr Wulff's Magic Post Attitude Scales with the humour meter nailed at half way. Not that i'm necessarily funny, or that i can't take things seriously; i just usually don't bother. Life is short and difficult; don't waste too much time getting bent out of shape about other people's opinions. Martin Marvinski wrote: Read my response here in the soapbox Will-do.
