Hello, How can I identify that my VS 2005 has the ability to open "Web Applicaion". Is there a difference between Open website and Open Project?

I am trying to open a web project and it do not open... I have a solution which has two library projects abd one web project... Both of the project opens but the visual studio can not open the web project It says "the project of this type is not supported by installation". Any idea??

Click on Help / About Microsoft Visual Studio and you will see a list of the installed products, if the Visual Web Developer product is not listed then you will not be able to open a web project.

Have you configured the web project folder in IIS? If you are not using IIS for development then try to open the via File / Open / Web Site and browsing to the folder. You can then add the other projects to the solution.

Yes I did it.. I am able to add the website and the other two solutions. But they give some errors of missing references. So does this proves that: My VS 2005 has the ability to open all the projects I had... I have been suggested to open the whole stuff as a project...
