As opposed to pretending Europeans have never been persecuted. It strikes me that a lot of good Europeans died trying to help the Jews. They fought for their lives and the lives of the Jews and were persecuted for it. And here you are saying that the Europeans are going to suffer like the Jews soon. Ta mate, burn your bridges as you leave.

Nevertheless, having been persecuted once, doesn't mean they are free from any sort of criticism, for all time.

I think it's interesting how you consistently "misunderstand" things ... and then whine because I won't engage in "discussion" with you. These people ... and you ... are not criticising the Israelis. They, and you, are asserting a noxious double standard, which has the sole purpose of trying to making it impossible for the Israelis to defend themselves against the constant attacks they face. Life seeming to be ironic, the very same "arguments" that the masses of leftish sheeple in Europe (and Australia) accept as the rationale for implicitly aiding in the destruction of the Jews are also being used by "Your Betters" to destroy you. Soon enough, unless you collectively change, you people will know what it is like to be Jews.

They face attacks because they took the land by force. How is that surprising ?

You are right about one thing, in that it wasn't profound in the slightest. Not nearly as deep and insightful as: IF 'materialism' is the truth about the nature of reality, THEN minds (or 'souls' if you prefer that word) cannot exist. BUT minds do exist. THEREFORE, 'materialism' (and 'physicalism,' and 'naturalism,' and 'atheism,' and 'agnosticism') is clearly seen to be false. I suppose you truly believe that minds and souls are the same thing?

Drawing on my fine command of language, I said nothing.

Really? Why? Is it because I used the word 'Jew' the same way we all use the word 'Christian' or 'Muslim'? Or is it because I criticise (rightly) their actions? Fact is, you are more racist because you treat them differently by giving them more leeway, by treading carefully around their sensitivities. Just because I dont doesnt mean I hate them. I just treat them with the same disdain as others whose actions I disagree with.

Morality is indistinguishable from social proscription

That will never happen. Because of Ilion's coping mechanisms in a world that terrifies him he cannot admit to error. According to Wikipedia, 'superiority complex' refers to a subconscious neurotic mechanism of compensation developed by the individual as a result of feelings of inferiority. The feelings of inferiority in this specific complex are often brought on by real or perceived social rejection, possibly as a result of the individual's inattentiveness to hygiene, appearance, or lower intelligence as compared to others. Those exhibiting a superiority complex commonly project their feelings of inferiority onto others they perceive as beneath them, possibly for the same reasons they themselves may have been ostracized, i.e. viewing most, possibly all others as "ugly" or "stupid", and beneath oneself. Behaviors related to this mechanism may include an exaggeratedly positive opinion of one’s worth and abilities, unrealistically high expectations in goals and achievements for oneself and others, the persistent attempt to correct others regardless of whether they are factually correct or not, vanity, extravagant style in dressing (with intent of drawing attention), excessive need for competition, pride, sentimentalism and affected exaltation, snobbishness, and a tendency to try to discredit others' opinions, as well as forcefulness and hostility aimed at dominating those he has convinced himself are weaker or less important. Ilion projects an air of contempt for his fellow CPians and often writes as if he is the only poster who is capable of expounding a particular truth. His words suggest that he becomes livid when there is someone who knows more than he does about a subject on which he posted. He rushes into threads with the deluded conviction that he will be the one recognized as owning the truth. And, as I said, he refuses to admit error, no matter how clearly it is pointed out to him, because to do so would force him to give up his cherished feelings of superiority. Ilion is a classic case of the defensive ‘superiority complex.’ His behavior in Soapbox is reflective of the tricks he uses to reassure himself of his importance. His arrogance smacks of the feeling - other people are likely to overlook me, I must show them that I am somebody important. He creates strange punctuation as if he feels that his words would not carry any weight if he did not emphasize t

That's probably the best thing I've ever read before in my life. Do you mind if I save a copy? :-D
