Those spots that REALLY hurt
-
I've never had trouble with spots or acne (I have a form of acne that doesn't cause spots though), but occasionally, like most adults, I get those spots that develop in annoying places. You know the ones. Below your lip. On the end of your noise. And they really sting. Anybody have any good home remedies? My mother informs me that toothpaste absorbs the moisture from the spot, killing it. I've been walking around with a blob of toothpatse on my chin all day. I can't go out because the toothpaste has hardened and scraping it off makes me yell out in pain. Imagine some of the potential sexually-orientated comments I would get if I were to venture outside. Toothpaste works for me if I get a zit, but I put it on before I go to sleep. As an alternative, you could find a trusty blow torch and set your zit ablaze. :) Jeremy Falcon Imputek "..." - Paul Watson 07-17

I often have problems with acne, even though I'm well past my teens (26.) Face washing soap (or whatever) with salicylic acid often helps. It won't dry up your skin like some of the industrial strength stuff made for teenagers. :) Even if you win the rat race, you're still a rat.

I occasionally get a spot on my chin, and it drivs me insane. I play the clarinet and it rubs like hell, I haven't had it in a while but I used to get it regularly before a concert :(( or recital or something important like that. -- Andrew.
