Regarding circumcision? I would like to think that I saved at least a couple of boys from getting snipped in the future. :)

Did you decide on getting your Foreskin replaced? Did you look at the link I sent you?

I don't think you can replace it.. Once it's gone it's gone.

Shog, you seem to be infavor of the circ operation which is completely baffling to me. I surely hope you are just teasing me by being contrary and that you would not actually have this done to any of your future sons.

Martin, i honestly couldn't say what choice i might make for my own sons, should i be so blessed one day. For now though, yeah, i'm just taking the opportunity to contradict you on an issue which i don't really care deeply about and which you seem to. Petty of me, but - it's been a long day. On the whole, i've seen much worse things done to children; i'm not going to get bent out of shape over a medical procedure until i become a doctor.

Those are fairly vague terms Martin. Is everything that causes pain abuse? What exactly *are* the rights of a human? Certainly the rights of a child are not the same as the rights of an adult. So which is worse - causing a child momentary pain at a time when it is too young to retain a memory of it, or methodically exposing a child throughout upbringing to propaganda that will warp perception and stunt ability to learn/trust/interact with others for a lifetime? As i said, at this point i find it difficult to take this discussion seriously, as for me it is entirely academic. For a parent to take this attitude however is somewhat frightening. I see it as a symptom of a deeper problem however; if a parent can be cavalier about surgery on their child, what will be their attitude towards their child's education?

It's that sort of permissive parenting that created this disrespectful society we live in. :suss: Martin Marvinski wrote: This to me is clearly child abuse and a human rights violation.
