As i said, at this point i find it difficult to take this discussion seriously, as for me it is entirely academic. For a parent to take this attitude however is somewhat frightening. I see it as a symptom of a deeper problem however; if a parent can be cavalier about surgery on their child, what will be their attitude towards their child's education?
