I like that phrase, simply because you can say to people: "The problem with cutting-edge is that it's too damn close to the bleeding edge."

Which fortunatly means completely nothing ;) However you do get some ooh and aha remarks from people at birthday parties when you use that phrase.

I agree. With a client of mine, we don't really work with bleeding edge because they cannot afford downtime when the bleeding edge technology has some problem that cuts into productivity.

It's more annoying to be bleeding on that edge (ask early adopters of Vista about that one).
